Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 8 lb cooked bone-in spiral ham
- 15 whole cloves
- 1/2 c honey
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c orange juice
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- pineapple rings, garnish
- cherries, garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325° F.
- Place a baking rack in a shallow pan and coat with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the ham cut side down on the rack.
- Place the cloves all around the ham, and in between the spirals.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, orange juice, and garlic powder.
- Drizzle one third of the glaze over the ham, spreading evenly with a pastry brush.
- Place pineapple rings and cherries on the ham, if desired.
- Cover the ham with foil.
- Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the ham reads 140° F.
- Drizzle the glaze over top of the ham 2 to 3 more times during the cooking process, spacing evenly, with the final drizzle being the last 20 minutes with removing the foil. Cook time will depend on the weight of your ham. Use the package instructions to determine the cook time, usually about 1½ to 2 hours.
- Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Enjoy with any reserved sauce and pan drippings.
