Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c crunchy peanut butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 c granulated sugar
- 3/4 c light brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 c unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 12-oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a 13 x 9 inch pan with baking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar using a hand mixer on medium speed.
- Beat until creamy, about 45 seconds.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- With the mixer on medium low, add the flour mixture ¼ cup at a time, beating until well mixed.
- Fold in half of the chocolate chips and set the remaining half of the chocolate chips aside for the top.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and sprinkle with the other half of the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, use a butter knife to swirl the melted chocolate chips into the batter before returning the brownies to the oven.
- Continue baking for 30 minutes or until the edges are pulling away from the pan.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 30 petite, 2 x 2 inch squares.
