Ingredients
- 1 c raisins
- 1 3/4 c water
- 1/3 c firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tbsp. distilled white vinegar
Instructions
- Add the raisins and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, and spices. Add the sugar mixture into the saucepan with the raisins. Cook, stirring until thickened, for about 5 minutes more.
- Blend in the vinegar and stir until combined.
- Serve warm with a ham steak or pork, especially a thin, fried chop.
