Ingredients
- 1 loaf brioche bread, cut into 1" slices
- Jones’ Cranberry Sauce, optional
- 1 1/2 c shredded Gruyère cheese
- 10 slices ham
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. pumpkin spice
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla paste
- 1/2 c water
- 1 c heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- powdered sugar, optional
Instructions
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and lay out the slices of bread.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, water, vanilla paste, pumpkin spice and nutmeg.
- On half of the slices of bread, add two slices of ham and 1 Tbsp shredded cheese to each.
- Spread cranberry sauce over the top of the bread, if using.
- Cover the topped bread with the remaining slices of bread.
- Using tongs, coat both sides of bread with the egg mixture.
- Spray a medium skillet with butter spray and heat to medium.
- Grill sandwiches on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Repeat until all sandwiches are grilled.
- For garnish, lightly dust powdered sugar over top.
